Description

The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a contractor to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant's PLC and HMI programming at Yellowstone National Park. The project involves replacing existing hardware and software, including the Think & Do programming language, with new Automation Direct hardware and Do-More programming language. The contractor will be responsible for installing new hardware, updating the PLC program, and recreating HMI screens and tags. The project requires the contractor to work with NPS personnel to test and commission the new system. The scope of work includes performing live function and operation tests, verifying the new PLC program and HMI look and perform as close to the existing program as possible, and providing electronic copies of the new Ladder Logic program and HMI printouts. • The project is located at the Canyon Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yellowstone National Park. • The contractor will be provided with existing program documentation, including PDF files and Think & Do program files. • The contractor will be required to recreate HMI screens and tags, as the existing C-more project file is available but does not exactly match the HMI currently in operation. • The contractor will be responsible for performing full operational validation of all HMI functions. • The project has a scheduled shutdown time of approximately one week, starting no sooner than October 31 and no later than November 30, 2026.
