Description
The Town of Topsham, Maine is seeking a professional engineering firm to provide final design, topographic surveying, and engineering services for the reconstruction of roughly 2,250 ft of Canam Drive. The consultant will evaluate existing conditions, develop detailed road‑design plans, coordinate utility extensions (water, sewer, gas, electric), conduct a construction cost estimate, and deliver all required drawings and reports. The work includes project management, stakeholder meetings, and compliance with local, state, and federal design standards.
• Conduct a topographic survey covering the corridor plus a 50‑ft buffer each side.
• Produce complete roadway, drainage, and utility design packages meeting Town, MaineDOT, AASHTO, and ADA standards.
• Prepare an Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) to support future public bidding.
• Manage coordination with multiple utility districts (BTWD, TSD, Maine Natural Gas, CMP) and attend scheduled stakeholder and public meetings.
