IFB 027-004 Wheelset and Traction Motor Overhaul, Repair, and Rehabilitation Services

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive overhaul, repair, and rehabilitation services on wheelsets and traction motors for its Gallery IV passenger railcars and MP36PH‑3C locomotives. This work will ensure reliable operation of VRE’s rolling stock and extend the service life of critical components. • Overhaul, repair, and rehabilitation of wheelsets and traction motors across VRE’s fleet of passenger railcars and locomotives. • Perform detailed inspections, disassembly, parts replacement, re‑assembly, testing, and certification in accordance with manufacturer specifications. • Provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and documentation required to return assets to full operational status, with potential for ongoing maintenance support.
