PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS REMODEL

The City of Sandy is seeking a professional architectural firm to provide design services for the remodel of the City Council Chambers. The project aims to renovate and modernize the existing council chambers and executive offices to improve functionality, accessibility, technology integration, and public engagement. The selected architect will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and preparing construction documents for the renovation. The scope of work includes concept development, detailed design, furnishings, cost and schedule estimates, construction documents, and construction support. The project timeline is anticipated to be around 6 months, with the possibility of a more aggressive timeline. Key aspects of the project include: • Renovation of the Council dais area and public seating areas • Improvements to audio-visual systems, lighting, acoustics, and interior finishes • Integration of modern communication and display technology • Improvements to ADA accessibility, circulation, and safety • Renovation or reconfiguration of support spaces such as staff workstations and equipment rooms The City will select one architect to complete the design based on budget availability, and the evaluation criteria will include the strength of the architect's team, qualifications for similar projects, construction phase services, fees, and references.
