Oxford EDS and EBSD Upgrade and Installation Service

NASA’s National Security Space Center is seeking a sole‑source upgrade and installation service for the Oxford Electron‑Diffraction Spectroscopy (EDS) and Electron‑Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) modules on its Hitachi S‑4700 Scanning Electron Microscope located at Langley Research Center. The effort includes hardware upgrades (silicon‑drift EDS detector, CMOS EBSD detector, upgraded PC and peripherals), software installation (AztecLive, AztecCrystal, etc.), and on‑site integration to ensure seamless operation with the existing SEM. The contract is expected to be awarded to Oxford Instruments America, Inc., but capability statements are being collected to confirm that competition is not required. The work must be completed within 30 days after receipt of order.
