Engineering Services for FY25-26 Story County Edge of Field

The City of Ames is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for the Story County Edge-of-Field Project. The project involves conducting an initial review of field investigation data to determine the suitability of installing either a Saturated Buffer or Bioreactor for each of the 50 tile outlets that have been investigated. The selected firm will also be responsible for completing the final design of the tile outlets, providing construction cost estimates, and performing construction staking and shop drawing review. The project aims to improve water quality in the South Skunk River watershed and help the City of Ames achieve nutrient reduction targets. Key aspects of the project include: • Conducting an initial review of field investigation data for 50 tile outlets • Completing final design for a subset of the 50 tile outlets • Providing construction cost estimates and construction staking • Performing shop drawing review and responding to change proposal requests • Reviewing checkout sheets and as-built drawings • Generating a punch list and providing a statement of completion for each practice
