The University of Montana is soliciting bids for a full-service vending machine provider to replace existing vending machines across the Missoula campus. The selected vendor will be responsible for placing, stocking, and maintaining the vending machines, as well as collecting proceeds from sales. The contract term is for one year, with the option for renewals up to seven years. The University requires the vendor to provide detailed data on sales and commission per vending machine each month, and to adapt to new technology as it becomes available. The bid will be awarded based on the best commission amount quoted, with a minimum commission of 12% for non-Umoney sales and 16% for Umoney sales.
• The vendor must provide a list of products used to fill the vending machines and must be able to change the product mix to accommodate consumer requests.
• The vendor must provide a telephone number on the machines for individuals to report problems or request refunds.
• The vendor must remove or move vending machines at the request of the University.
• The vendor must provide transition assistance if the contract is not renewed or is terminated.
• The University reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time without cause and without incurring liability to the vendor.
