Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to replace sealants at the Le Mars Maintenance Garage. The contract includes the removal and replacement of approximately 1,650 linear feet of existing building sealant and backer rods at control joints, expansion joints, and around penetrations and windows. The contractor will also remove and replace approximately 350 linear feet of existing sealant in joints between the existing building and existing paving. The contract is a single prime contract based on a stipulated price, and the contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work. The contract term is estimated to be from the notice to proceed and executed contract to June 30, 2026.
• The contract requires the contractor to provide a preconstruction meeting, progress meetings, and a construction progress schedule.
• The contractor must submit product data, shop drawings, and samples for selection and verification.
• The contractor must also provide training on the operation and maintenance of the sealant systems.
• The contract includes a payment term of 0% 0, Net 60.
• The contract is subject to the procedures and requirements established in Iowa Administrative Code 761--20.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to labor, safety, and environmental protection.
