The City of West Des Moines seeks qualified firms to replace or modernize its enterprise storage environment, currently based on Qumulo Core software. Two solution paths are allowed: (1) a brand‑new clustered storage platform that does not rely on Qumulo software, or (2) a Qumulo‑compatible hardware refresh that works with the existing software. The required solution must deliver approximately 1,536 TB of raw capacity across two clusters, provide redundancy, high‑speed network interfaces (preferred 25 Gbps SFP28), support Active Directory, SMB, NFS, S3, snapshots, replication, and include comprehensive support, warranty, and implementation services. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the City’s IonWave portal by 2 PM CT on 7 Oct 2026. The City will evaluate technical compliance, support, cost of ownership, implementation plan, and vendor qualifications, and may award either option or none.
• Required raw storage: ~768 TB per cluster (≈1.5 PB total)
• Network: 2 × SFP+ 10 Gbps or 2 × SFP28 25 Gbps (preferred)
• Redundant power, RAID, SSD cache, NAS HDD for bulk storage
• Integration with AD, SMB/NFS/S3, snapshots, quota, analytics
• Full warranty, support, firmware/security updates, implementation assistance (Option A) or hardware delivery only (Option B)
• Submission deadline: 07 Oct 2026, 2 PM CT (electronic only)
• Questions due: 28 Sep 2026, 4 PM CT
• Anticipated award: 30 Oct 2026; project start: 01 Dec 2026
