The County of Hawai‘i is issuing a Request for Quotations for a one‑year price‑term agreement (with up to four optional one‑year extensions) to perform hydrostatic testing, inspection, and certification of up to 200 MSA G1 SCBA cylinders per year for the Hawaii Fire Department. Work must comply with NFPA 1852, DOT regulations, CGA standards, and MSA manufacturer requirements. The contractor will receive cylinders from the fire department, conduct visual inspections, perform hydrostatic pressure tests, handle post‑test procedures (drying, valve O‑ring replacement, leak testing), document results, and return cylinders within a 10‑14 business‑day turnaround. The County will handle pickup and delivery; the vendor must hold a valid DOT Re‑qualifier Identification Number (RIN), have at least three years of relevant experience, and maintain required insurance.
