Special Events Staging and Management and AV Services

Salem State University is seeking a contractor to provide full‑service audio‑visual production, staging, and event‑management for its major special events, including three annual commencements, a speaker series, and assorted campus functions. The vendor must own and operate all required equipment (line‑array sound, HD video, lighting, rigging, etc.), supply qualified personnel, attend a mandatory pre‑bid walk‑through, and deliver a digital master of each event within one week. The contract is a three‑year base period beginning with the 2018 commencement season, with up‑to‑three one‑year renewal options (potential total of six years). • Tier 1 (Arena) – concert‑quality sound, dual large screens, multi‑camera video, full lighting rig, assisted‑listening & captioning. • Tier 2 (Gymnasium) – scaled‑down sound/lighting, black velour drapery, basic video. • Tier 3 (Outdoor) – modest line‑array, basic LED lighting, minimal video. • Optional value‑added services such as closed‑captioning, piano rental, teleprompter, webcasting, and specialty lighting may be included if budget permits.
