Operation of UNH Water Treatment Plant

The University System of New Hampshire seeks a qualified contractor to staff, manage, and operate its Water Treatment Plant (WTP) located at 28 Waterworks Road in Durham, NH. The contractor will be responsible for day‑to‑day plant operations, regulatory compliance, chemical procurement, maintenance, emergency response, and reporting. The contract is a five‑year base term with two optional five‑year extensions, and the award will be based primarily on cost (60 % weighting) plus technical and personnel criteria. • Provide licensed operators (NH DES Grade 3) and 24/7 on‑call coverage for the plant and associated raw‑water facilities. • Manage chemical inventory (polyaluminum chloride, sodium hydroxide, potassium permanganate, sodium hypochlorite, liquid polyphosphate) and execute the annual pricing table. • Perform routine maintenance, sludge removal, metering calibration, regulatory sampling/reporting, and emergency response per USNH and NH DES requirements.
