Nutrition RFP -Congregate Meal Programs

The Washington County, Oregon, is seeking proposals from community organizations to provide congregate meal programs for older adults in the county. The program aims to serve nutritious meals and provide social activities to combat social isolation. The contractor will be responsible for providing meals, managing the meal site, and ensuring compliance with the Older Americans Act and Oregon Nutrition Standards. The contractor will also be required to provide nutrition education, perform nutrition risk assessments, and establish a means of soliciting participant input. • The contractor must have experience in providing social service support for older adults and nutritional support. • The contractor must have a plan to provide meals that meet the Older Americans Act nutrition standards and culturally responsive meals. • The contractor must have a plan to provide services in a congregate setting and ensure accessibility and inclusivity. • The contractor must have a plan to establish partnerships with other organizations to provide meal services and referrals to other services. • The contractor must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Older Americans Act and Oregon Nutrition Standards.
