Engineering Services for Replacing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

The City of Ames is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering and consulting services for the planning, design, and development of plans and specifications for the procurement and implementation of a replacement Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system with Automatic Generation Control (AGC) for the Electric Services Department. The selected firm will be responsible for developing a turn-key SCADA system, providing system development, integration, testing, commissioning, and startup support, and ensuring the system's scalability, interoperability, and vendor support. The project involves multiple phases, including the development of a SCADA replacement specification, bidding and proposal, and project assistance. The City expects the proposed solution to provide long-term scalability, interoperability, and vendor support consistent with modern utility operational technology platforms.
