RFP: EMINENT DOMAIN LEGAL SERVICES

The City of Minot is requesting proposals to retain eminent domain legal services in support of the on-going home acquisition and buyout program. The selected attorney/firm will provide legal advice to the City on issues surrounding potential and on-going eminent domain related actions, represent the City as counsel in eminent domain litigation related matters, and provide legal advice to the City on various home acquisition and buyout projects. Key responsibilities include: • Provide legal advice to the City on issues surrounding potential and on-going eminent domain related actions. • Represent the City as counsel in eminent domain litigation related matters as a Special Assistant City Attorney. • Provide legal advice to the City on various home acquisition and buyout projects that appear to be heading towards eminent domain. • Work with the City’s Disaster Recovery Program Manager, who oversees the city’s home acquisition and buyout program, as required. • Provide any other services related to eminent domain as needed and directed by the City.
