Description
The Town of Hardwick, VT, seeks a qualified engineering firm to provide full‑service design and construction‑management for the reconstruction of its wastewater treatment facility and associated lift stations. The project must bring the plant into compliance with current flood‑plain, environmental, and building codes, incorporate FEMA‑required mitigation, and maintain existing treatment capacity. Services include preliminary and detailed design (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical), flood‑resilience analysis, preparation of construction‑ready drawings and specifications, cost estimating (OPCC), permitting, bid support, construction observation, change‑order management, and final close‑out documentation. The effort will run from fall 2026 through December 2030, with the engineering phase occurring primarily in 2026‑2028, followed by construction‑management through 2030. The contract is funded largely by FEMA Public Assistance and may include additional federal or state grant dollars.
