AHU Replacement

YES Prep Public Schools is seeking qualified contractors to replace two air handling units (AHUs) that service the locker rooms at the North Forest Secondary campus. The work includes demolition of existing units, supply and installation of new AHUs, all associated mechanical, electrical, controls, ductwork, piping, and finish restoration. The contractor must provide a turnkey solution, obtain permits, manage site safety, coordinate with the YES Prep construction coordinator, and deliver complete close‑out documentation. • Location: North Forest Secondary campus, Houston, TX • Scope: Full replacement of two AHUs (Level 1 & Level 2), including mechanical, electrical, controls, ductwork, piping, demolition, installation, startup, and restoration • Mandatory bid walk: 28 Oct 2026 (attendance confirmation required) • Proposal deadline: 9 Nov 2026 10:00 AM CT • Questions due: 2 Nov 2026 05:00 PM CT • Required deliverables: construction schedule, dust‑mitigation plan, OSHA‑compliant safety plan, warranties, O&M manuals, punch‑list closeout • Contractor responsibilities: site safety, utility shutdown notice (48 hr), protection of building finishes, waste removal, no interaction with students/faculty, no use of YES Prep facilities without approval.
