Medical Insurance Broker

Metro Regional Transit Authority (METRO) is seeking a qualified insurance brokerage firm to provide comprehensive medical, prescription, vision, dental and ancillary insurance brokerage and risk‑management services for its 436‑employee workforce. The contract is a multi‑year flat‑fee agreement (initial one‑year term with up to four optional one‑year extensions) paid quarterly. The broker must hold an Ohio license, have at least five years’ experience in group health insurance, and demonstrate prior work with public entities. Core duties include developing annual marketing strategies, obtaining and negotiating renewal bids, managing policy issuance, delivering quarterly claims and utilization reports, supporting open‑enrollment events, and maintaining a dedicated account manager. All proposals must be submitted electronically via METRO’s OpenGov portal by 4:00 pm on December 3, 2026.
