Description
The University of Central Missouri is seeking a qualified contractor to remove four existing Edwards EST‑3 beam smoke detectors and install twelve new Edwards EST‑3 heat detectors with associated monitor modules in the Highlander Theater (Martin Building). The work includes demolition, new conduit installation, painting, wiring, programming into the existing fire alarm system, testing, commissioning, and providing as‑built drawings. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, permits, insurance, and required performance/bid bonds, and complete the project between December 14 2026 and January 8 2027. Payment is made within 30 days of final acceptance, with retainage and possible monthly progress payments.
• Scope: removal of 4 smoke detectors, supply & install 12 heat detectors, conduit, back‑boxes, painting, wiring, programming, testing, and commissioning.

• Bonds: 5 % bid bond & 100 % performance/payment bond via Surety2000 (annual $480 subscription).
• Payment: Net 30 days after final acceptance; retainage 10 % held.
• Warranty: Minimum 1 year on labor & parts.
