K-9 Food & Accessories

The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified vendor to provide dog food and accessories for the health, wellness, and training of all canines assigned to the Phoenix Police Department. The contract will support City departments, including public safety units with working dogs, and other programs responsible for the care and well-being of City canines. The vendor must operate at least one retail location within the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and/or maintain an online shopping portal that supports the City's purchasing requirements. The vendor must provide consistent access to a comprehensive range of dog-related products, including dog food, treats, and accessories. Some key requirements include: • Providing dog food from multiple nationally recognized and specialty brands • Offering varying dietary mixes for all stages of life • Ensuring all consumable products are no less than six months from expiration • Facilitating returns or replacements of defective, damaged, or excess items within ten calendar days • Designating a primary customer service contact responsible for managing all City-related inquiries, orders, returns, and communications The evaluation criteria will include the vendor's method of approach, capacity, and pricing proposal. The contract will be for a period of five years, with the option for the City to add, change, or delete quantities or items as circumstances may require.
