Community Production Partner - Juneteenth Celebration 2027

The City of Asheville is seeking a qualified organization to plan, coordinate, and produce the city’s 2027 Juneteenth Celebration. The contractor will be responsible for concept development, community engagement, logistics, talent procurement, marketing, and on‑the‑day event execution to ensure a culturally resonant and well‑attended celebration. The project will begin after contract award, with a projected start date of January 4 2027, and must deliver a successful event by Juneteenth (June 19 2027). • Develop a comprehensive event plan that aligns with Juneteenth’s historical significance and community priorities. • Secure venues, permits, vendors, performers, and any necessary equipment. • Manage budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation. • Conduct outreach and marketing to drive attendance and community participation. • Provide on‑site production management during the celebration. • Submit regular progress reports to the City’s Project Manager.
