Food Service - Ice Cream

The Colonial School District is seeking proposals for the delivery of ice cream food products to all of the schools within the district. The contract shall commence once awarded by the District’s Board of Education and shall terminate June 2026, with the option to extend for additional time periods upon mutual agreement. The successful bidder will be required to provide weekly deliveries to most schools, with the possibility of daily deliveries if required. The bidder must also manage their products at each location, provide display racks and ice cream freezers where needed, and issue credits for expired codes. The evaluation criteria for this RFP include price (35%), product selection (15%), taste (30%), and capacity to service the contract (20%). • The successful bidder must provide a list of all items for consideration, their package size, and firm pricing for the 2025-2026 school year. • The bidder must provide a synopsis of ordering procedures. • The bidder must provide experience in the ice cream market and the school market, including references from similar school accounts. • The bidder must provide nutritional information on all products submitted, including labels and ingredients with allergen and food dye identified. • The bidder must provide information on all listed evaluation criteria.
