Description
The California State Highway Patrol is seeking a qualified contractor to provide weapons‑firing‑range use services for its Beaumont Area Office. The contractor will operate and maintain a shooting range located within 30 mi of 195 Highland Springs Ave, Beaumont, CA, supplying safe access for pistols, rifles, and shotguns, handling brass collection, restroom facilities, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and insurance requirements. The work includes scheduled monthly and quarterly shooting events, night‑shoot provisions, and required test‑fires by CHP personnel.
• Operate a fully‑maintained firearms training range (pistol, .223 rifle, 00‑buckshot shotgun) for approximately 54 CHP staff.
• Provide range‑safety oversight, brass collection, restroom support, and environmental compliance (lead‑mitigation).
• Deliver a schedule of 12 pistol shoots, 4 rifle shoots, and 8 shotgun shoots per year, including mandated night‑shoots.
• Maintain required insurance, local business licensing, driver‑license background checks, and adhere to all state‑level security and confidentiality rules.
• Contract term is 24 months (July 1 2027 – June 30 2029) with monthly invoicing and potential small‑business/DVBE preferences.
