Description
The City of Tustin, California, is seeking a qualified private contractor to assume a ten‑year exclusive franchise for the collection, transport, and delivery of municipal solid waste, recyclables, construction‑and‑demolition debris, and organic waste for residential, multi‑family, commercial, and city‑owned properties. The contractor will not own or operate disposal facilities but must meet all state and local regulations, including SB 1383 organics requirements, and provide a full suite of ancillary services such as curbside bulky‑waste pickups, holiday‑tree collection, e‑waste and hazardous‑waste events, and emergency response. The award will be made after a mandatory pre‑proposal conference, two rounds of Q&A, proposal evaluation, and interviews. The contract term is ten years with service beginning April 1 2028.
