Budget estimate

$50,000 – $150,000

Based on the information provided, the estimated budget for this contract can be determined by the cost per specimen collection. The current cost per specimen collection done by the contractor is $55.00 per draw, and the cost per specimen collection done by state staff is $28.00. The total number of specimen collections for the past four state fiscal years ranges from 557 to 574 per year. Assuming an average of 565 specimen collections per year, and an average cost per specimen collection of $40.00 (midpoint of $28.00 and $55.00), the estimated annual budget would be approximately $22,600. For a three-year contract, the total estimated budget would be around $67,800. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on the contractor's proposed prices and the actual number of specimen collections.
