Description

The VA’s Miami Veterans Affairs Healthcare System is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors—preferably Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran‑Owned Small Businesses (VOSB)—that can provide a 3‑tesla mobile MRI trailer along with board‑certified MRI technologists on‑site. The contractor must be able to staff at least two board‑certified technologists (with a third recommended for coverage), meet VA credentialing requirements, and operate the trailer for a minimum of 80 hours every two weeks (excluding federal holidays). Responses are limited to capability statements that demonstrate the vendor can meet these requirements and that competition would benefit the Government. • Provide a 3T MRI trailer (lease/rental) equipped to VA specifications. • Supply at least two board‑certified MRI technologists (three preferred) for on‑site service. • Maintain all required licenses, permits, certifications, and VA medical staff compliance. • Submit a capability statement by September 4, 2026, demonstrating SDVOSB/VOSB status and ability to meet the FTE requirements. • This is an RFI for market research only; no contract award is implied.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The VA is looking for a full‑service mobile MRI solution that includes both the lease of a high‑field (3 Tesla) trailer and the provision of board‑certified technologists. Leasing a specialized 3 T MRI trailer can range from $500 K to $1.5 M per year depending on utilization, while professional technologist services (≈80 hours/2 weeks) could add $200 K–$400 K annually per technologist. Assuming at least two technologists and a three‑year contract horizon, total contract values could reasonably fall between $1 M and $5 M. Factors influencing the final amount include lease term length, mileage/transport costs, number of technologists deployed, and any ancillary support (maintenance, training, credentialing).
