Description
The Westwood Community School District is seeking qualified contractors to perform a partial roof replacement at Thorne Elementary School in Dearborn Heights, MI. The scope includes removal of existing roofing, inspection and repair/replacement of decking (gypsum, concrete, and metal sections), installation of new insulation, new waterproofing membranes (VersiPly 40, HPR Torch Base, StressBase 80, StressPly Plus, etc.), replacement of drains, copings, flashings, and a final flood coat of coal‑tar pitch with gravel. The project must adhere to detailed specifications, use Garland‑supplied roofing materials (quantities to be provided by the contractor), and meet wind‑uplift and fire‑rating requirements. The contractor must provide daily site reports, coordinate with the Garland representative, and supply warranties (30‑year material, 3‑year workmanship).
