RFP – Labor Counsel

The Borough of Hightstown, NJ is seeking a qualified New Jersey‑licensed attorney to serve as Labor Counsel for the 2027 fiscal year. The attorney will provide full‑service labor and employment legal support, including collective bargaining, arbitration, disciplinary hearings, litigation, and daily advisory services to Borough officials and the Business Administrator. The contract runs Jan 1 2027‑Dec 31 2027 and requires daily availability, with all proposals due sealed by Nov 24 2026. • Required qualifications: NJ‑admitted attorney with public‑sector labor & employment law experience. • Scope of services: representation in collective bargaining, interest/grievance arbitration, PERC proceedings, disciplinary hearings, employment litigation, and ongoing counsel. • Submission requirements: complete set of ten mandatory forms, insurance coverage (≥ $1 M per claim/aggregate), ownership disclosure, non‑collusion affidavit, and electronic flash‑drive copy.
