Description
The County of Anne Arundel is seeking a qualified transportation provider to deliver comprehensive student‑transport services for the 2027‑2028 school year and up to eleven additional years. The contractor must supply new or certified‑as‑new school buses, qualified drivers and aides, conduct regular maintenance, and meet extensive safety, technology, and reporting requirements. The award will be a multi‑year contract with optional one‑year extensions, and payment is based on per‑bus‑day, per‑hour, and mileage rates.
• Provide regular “to‑and‑from‑school” routes, special‑needs routes, vocational, noon‑pre‑K, after‑school activity, and field‑trip transportation.
• Operate a fleet that meets strict vehicle specifications (air‑brake, AC, video‑camera, GPS, wheelchair lifts, etc.) and maintain a 10 % certified spare‑bus pool.
• Deliver required documentation, background checks, insurance, and quarterly reports while adhering to strict liquidated‑damage penalties for performance failures.
