RFP 2025-016 Farmers Market Services

The Town of Marana is seeking proposals from qualified persons/firms for the operation, management, and marketing of a Farmers Market for a one-year period commencing approximately Spring 2026 at Heritage River Park. The successful proposer will be responsible for recruiting and retaining vendors, maintaining the cleanliness of the market area, and ensuring compliance with Pima County Health Department requirements. The proposer should reflect values of transparency in operations, an open and fair selection process for vendors, accountability of market management to the Town and community, and an emphasis on locally grown produce and locally produced goods. • The Farmers Market will celebrate Marana’s heritage, support local agriculture and growers, and provide community members the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown produce and other artisan goods. • The successful proposer will assist the Town in selecting and determining the time and dates of the Farmers Market located at Marana Heritage River Park. • The proposer should provide a consumer mix that reaches all aspects of the local marketplace, and appeals to adults, youth, and children. • The proposer should specify the vendor's balance of Farmers & Food Products and the percentage of Non-Food Products. • Proposals shall include a detailed site plan with vendor locations, circulation, and amenities.
