Description

The City of Lake Helen is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive disaster debris management services. The contract may be activated before, during, or after an emergency event and requires coordination with city officials, emergency management personnel, and debris monitors. The scope includes debris removal (including lead‑based debris) and may also involve separate debris monitoring services to ensure independent oversight. • Provide timely, safe, and fully documented debris removal services in response to disasters. • Manage lead‑based and other hazardous debris in compliance with environmental regulations. • Coordinate closely with the City Administrator, Public Works Director, and emergency management staff. • Optionally supply independent debris monitoring services under a separate contract.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $2,000,000

No budget is listed, but disaster debris removal contracts for a municipality of this size typically range from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million dollars, depending on the scale of the disaster and the amount of hazardous material involved. Assuming a moderate disaster scenario with lead‑based debris, a realistic estimate would be between $200,000 and $2,000,000.
