SD DOT Contract Pilot Services

The State of South Dakota is seeking a pilot to provide pilot-in-command and second-in-command services for two airplanes, a Beechcraft 300 and a Beechcraft 90, on an as-needed basis. The pilot will be responsible for safe aircraft operations, passenger service, and maintenance of the aircraft. The contract will be for one year with the option to renew annually for up to five years. The state is looking for a pilot with a FAA multi-engine ATP license, current FAA Class 1 or 2 medical, and a minimum of 5,000 hours of total flight time. • The pilot will be required to have a BE-300 single pilot type rating and BE-300 insurance-approved simulator training within the last 12 months. • The pilot will be required to maintain up-to-date knowledge to enhance pilot competency and professionalism. • The pilot will be required to ensure on-time departures and act as the final authority over aircraft operations and compliance when pilot-in-command. • The pilot will be required to communicate maintenance issues promptly and complete required maintenance paperwork.
