HR-RFP Insurance Agent Services

Clatsop County is seeking a qualified insurance agent to provide insurance agent services, including property and liability insurance, worker's compensation, and risk management. The selected agent will be responsible for reviewing and renewing insurance policies, managing claims, and providing ongoing risk management and loss prevention services. The agent will also be required to attend yearly training on products, services, and risk management best practices in the public sector. The contract will be for a period of five years, with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The county reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to select the proposal that is in the best interest of the county. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing expertise and assistance in property and liability insurance, worker's compensation, and risk management • Reviewing and renewing insurance policies • Managing claims • Providing ongoing risk management and loss prevention services • Attending yearly training on products, services, and risk management best practices in the public sector • Maintaining confidentiality of county information • Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
