Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Training Services

The Hawai‘i State Department of Health is seeking a vendor to provide in-person Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) training services to Harm Reduction Services Branch personnel. The training includes two subgroup sessions of 3 consecutive days each, followed by supervisory debriefing sessions. The vendor must supply all required training materials, assessments, attendance logs, curriculum documentation, evaluation summaries, and a final report. The total billing for the contract period shall not exceed $29,999.99. • The vendor must have a lead trainer with a minimum of 20 years of professional public health experience. • The lead trainer must have experience as a DIS, DIS supervisor, STI program manager, or CDC-recognized trainer of DIS, DIS supervisors, and STI program managers. • The vendor must demonstrate experience training DIS staff from at least 3 public health jurisdictions. • The vendor must provide all required training materials and conduct two in-person 3-day training periods on Oahu. • The vendor must administer pre- and post-training assessments and maintain attendance logs for all training sessions.
