GILLIG TRANSIT BUS ENGINE PURCHASE & REPLACEMENT

The City of Charlottesville is seeking a qualified contractor to supply a Cummins ISL Long Block Engine (Emission Level CM2150, Serial #73041720) and perform complete removal of the existing engine, installation of the new engine, transfer of related components, necessary adjustments, programming, fluid replacement, and functional testing on a Charlottesville Area Transit Gillig bus (VIN 15GGB2711A1177566). This federally‑assisted procurement (FTA) includes compliance with numerous federal clauses covering records, civil rights, Buy‑America preferences, safety, and debarment requirements. The contractor must certify tax status and felony history, and must be able to manage the entire engine replacement lifecycle from delivery to verification. • Provide a new Cummins ISL Long Block Engine (CM2150) with the specified serial number. • Remove the existing engine from the Gillig transit bus. • Install the replacement engine and transfer applicable components and accessories. • Perform required adjustments, programming, and fluid changes. • Conduct testing to verify proper engine and vehicle operation. • Comply with all Federal Transit Administration (FTA) clauses and certifications listed in the RFQ. • Deliver documentation and certifications as part of the quotation.
