Longwood University is seeking a qualified vendor to operate its campus bookstore on a full‑service basis, covering both brick‑and‑mortar and online sales. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of bookstore management, including inventory, merchandising, staffing, financial handling, marketing, and compliance with university policies such as ADA, data protection, and the exclusive soft‑drink contract. Compensation is based on a tiered commission of gross sales with a guaranteed minimum annual payment, plus an unspecified annual scholarship contribution. The contract runs for five years with an option for one additional five‑year renewal. • Operate and staff the university bookstore (in‑store and e‑commerce) • Manage inventory, pricing, marketing, and all financial transactions, adhering to PCI‑DSS and university policies • Provide quarterly reports, subcontracting plans, and maintain records for five years • Pay a commission on gross sales (10.6%‑13.6%) with a $375,000 guaranteed minimum per year • Deliver transition plan and assume all equipment/utility costs, with optional site improvements.
