Emergency Contract for Supplemental Staffing for High Acuity Youth in Foster Care

The Department of Social Services has entered into an emergency contract with Family Choice Center to provide supplemental staffing for high acuity youth in foster care. The contract is intended to provide time-limited, crisis-stabilization services to aid youth in stabilizing or acclimating to placement with the provider. The services are not a long-term solution, but rather a temporary measure to prevent overnight stays in the SCDSS office or night-to-night emergency placements. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing 24/7 individualized supervision for youth with high acuity needs • Offering internal supplemental staffing to support the youth • Collaborating with SCDSS to ensure compliance with court-ordered requirements • Providing care for youth whose established level of care and corresponding needs exceed the expectations of an Enhanced Group Care provider The contractor will need to have experience working with high acuity youth and providing individualized support services.
