Description
Dakota County is seeking qualified contractors to provide community transportation services that close identified gaps for residents with disabilities, older adults, wheelchair‑access needs, medical‑appointment rides (for non‑Medical‑Assistance recipients), and rural‑area travel. The contract will run from July 1 2026 through December 31 2027 (with a possible extension to 2029) and is funded up to $300,000 per year. Proposals must address at least two of five transportation gaps, include driver recruitment, screening, training, monthly reporting, and participation in advisory committees, and meet insurance, background‑check, HIPAA, and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. Subcontracting to Transportation Network Companies is permissible if the required gaps are met.
