The County of Humboldt’s Department of Health & Human Services – Behavioral Health is seeking qualified medical professionals to deliver comprehensive non‑emergency medical care to patients admitted to its Psychiatric Health Facility (Sempervirens). The contract will span two fiscal years (June 2027 – June 2029) and requires the provider to perform initial examinations, ongoing assessments, basic treatment, medication consultations, and to supervise any delegated nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Proposals must be submitted electronically by December 14, 2026, with questions due by November 16, 2026. The award is expected in early June 2027, and the successful contractor will enter into a Professional Services Agreement covering all required services, reporting, quality‑review, and compliance obligations. • Provide medical histories and physical exams within 24 hours of patient admission. • Conduct follow‑up exams and interval histories for stays >30 days. • Deliver basic non‑emergency treatment and medication consultations on an as‑needed basis. • Supervise licensed nurse practitioners/physician assistants and perform annual peer‑review reporting. • Maintain compliance with California and federal health regulations, and submit regular performance reports.
