Description
The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks a contractor to replace the HVAC system for the Warehouse/Housekeeping areas of the Coastal Center Campus in Summerville, SC. The scope includes full removal of the existing unit, site preparation, supply and installation of a new 5‑ton split‑system heat pump (either 14.3 SEER 3‑phase or 15 SEER 2‑duct), all associated electrical and plumbing work, testing, commissioning, and provision of warranties. The contractor must complete the work within 30 days of award and provide a minimum 1‑year labor warranty and 10‑year manufacturer parts warranty.
• Remove and properly dispose of the existing HVAC unit and clean the site.
• Install a new 5‑ton split‑system heat pump with variable‑speed air handler, emergency drain pan, new HV disconnect, surge protection, and composite pad.
• Perform full functional testing with BHDD maintenance staff, provide warranty registration, and ensure the unit operates correctly for both heating and cooling before final acceptance.
