Description
The Alabama Board of Dental Examiners (BDEAL) seeks a qualified professional to serve as Chair of its Anesthesia Committee. The Chair will act as the lead evaluator for anesthesia‑related inspections and re‑evaluations required by state law, coordinate the committee’s activities, interact with dental licensees applying for anesthesia permits, and perform any additional tasks assigned by the Board. Compensation includes a $30,000 annual salary, up to $12,000 in per‑inspection fees, and up to $2,000 for mileage/per‑diem. The contract is for one year with the possibility of up to four renewals, contingent on performance and funding.
• Serve as evaluator for initial and re‑evaluations of anesthesia permits under Alabama Code §§34‑9‑60, §§34‑9‑80.
• Manage the Anesthesia Committee, schedule inspections, and liaise with licensees.
• Receive $300 per inspection (capped at $12,000 annually) plus salary and travel allowances.
