South Dakota Immunization Information System (SDIIS)

The State of South Dakota Department of Health, in partnership with the CDC, is seeking a vendor to design, develop, implement, and support a new web‑based Immunization Information System (IIS) to replace the existing SDIIS. The contract may be awarded under any of three hosting models—vendor‑hosted, state‑hosted on‑premises, or state‑hosted Azure Platform‑as‑a‑Service—and must meet extensive functional, interoperability, and security requirements, including HL7 interfaces, data migration without loss, real‑time web access, vaccine inventory management, GIS reporting, and compliance with HIPAA, IRS 1075, PCI, and state security policies. The project spans roughly five years, covering requirements validation, system design, development, testing, training, data conversion, go‑live, and post‑implementation support.
