Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking qualified vendors to provide a broad range of heavy earth‑moving equipment (dozers, excavators, dump trucks, loaders, graders, rollers, brush‑grinder and hydraulic‑ram attachments) with qualified operators for District 9 (Flemingsburg). The contract is an Indefinite‑Delivery/Indefinite‑Quantity (ID/IQ) agreement; equipment will be rented on an hourly basis and the vendor must be able to mobilize within guaranteed response times for routine and emergency work. Minimum guaranteed usage is eight (8) hours per work order, but no minimum per piece of equipment. Emergency response requires deployment within 48 hours and carries a $750 mobilization fee per piece. All bids must be submitted electronically through Kentucky’s eProcurement system by 13:30 on 11 April 2026. Vendors must maintain required insurance, comply with Buy‑America/BABA requirements, and provide certifications (DBE, non‑collusion, etc.).
• Equipment categories include small/large crawler dozers, track excavators, dump trucks (large, articulated, tandem, tri‑axle), loaders, motor graders, rollers, brush‑grinder and ram attachments.
• Quantities are expressed in hours (total ~165 hrs across all line items).
• Operators must be provided with each piece of equipment; vendor responsible for fuel, lubrication, maintenance.
• Response time: routine orders must be delivered within a guaranteed window; emergency orders within 48 hrs.
• Penalties: 1 % per day deduction for late delivery or incomplete work; $1,000 per day penalty for missed emergency response.
• Mandatory electronic submission; no hard‑copy bids accepted.
