The West Virginia Purchasing Division, on behalf of the West Virginia Department of Education, is issuing an open‑end statewide Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a contract for the purchase of school buses for the FY2026‑27 school year. The contract will be available to all state agencies and political subdivisions (55 counties). Vendors must submit pricing for 250‑300 units across conventional, transit, and special‑needs bus categories, meeting West Virginia’s minimum design and equipment standards (including provisions for electric buses). The award will be multiple‑award; any vendor meeting specifications may be awarded and subsequently selected by individual county boards. Key requirements include mandatory site visits of pilot units, provision of line‑setting tickets, title applications 20 working days before delivery, delivery within 365 calendar days, and quarterly/annual reporting.
