Specialty Schools & Middle Schools Snack Food Vending

The Canyons School District (CSD) is seeking a qualified supplier to provide snack food vending services for its specialty schools and middle schools. The successful supplier will be expected to provide full-service vending, including popular snack food and other non-drink products, as well as fruit and yogurt items, that comply with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Program, Smart Snack regulations, and Utah House Bill 402. The supplier will be responsible for furnishing and installing high-quality vending machines and related equipment, maintaining accurate records of vending transactions, and remitting monthly commissions to the school finance administrator. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract, and the supplier will be expected to comply with all federal, state, and district regulations governing the procurement, preparation, storage, transport, handling, and serving of all items for consumption under this contract. • The contract will commence on the date of the RFP award and continue for one year, with an option to extend annually for up to four additional years. • The supplier will be responsible for providing trained, qualified personnel to perform all service, and for maintaining accurate records of vending transactions. • The supplier will be expected to comply with all federal, state, and district regulations governing the procurement, preparation, storage, transport, handling, and serving of all items for consumption under this contract. • The supplier will be responsible for furnishing and installing high-quality vending machines and related equipment, and for maintaining the machines in a clean and sanitary condition. • The supplier will be expected to provide a comprehensive plan demonstrating their commitment to the success of this contract, including a plan for communication, planning, and performance review.
