Description
This IFB seeks a qualified elevator contractor to provide comprehensive preventive‑maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and lubrication services for ten elevators located at Caltrans District 8 facilities in San Bernardino County. The contractor must supply all labor, parts, tools, equipment, permits, travel, and incidentals, and must hold a current C‑11 Elevator Contractor license and Certified Qualified Conveyance Company certification. No subcontracting is allowed, and the work must comply with prevailing‑wage, insurance, bonding, and reporting requirements. The contract is a five‑year agreement with a maximum ceiling of $484,000.
• Perform monthly preventive‑maintenance visits, annual inspections, and limited routine/non‑routine repair hours.
• Respond to routine service requests within 48 hours and non‑routine requests within 2 hours (1 hour for entrapments).
• Provide full documentation, certified payroll, and DVBE/Small‑Business preference incentives as applicable.
