USWFS Exclusive Use Smokejumper Aircraft Dash 8

The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a small‑business contractor to provide two exclusive‑use Dash 8 aircraft for the United States Wildland Fire Service. The contractor must operate, crew, and maintain the aircraft for 120‑day periods each summer, supporting smoke‑jumper drops, low‑level reconnaissance, and related fire‑suppression missions from Fort Wainwright, Alaska (both aircraft) and Boise, Idaho (one aircraft). The award will be a five‑year IDIQ with optional six‑month extension, and the contract is 100 % set‑aside for small businesses. • Provide two fully crewed, contractor‑operated Dash 8 turboprop aircraft (one dual‑base, one Alaska‑only) for exclusive use each summer. • Supply qualified pilots, relief crew, on‑site A&P mechanics, all required avionics, safety equipment, and a compliant FAA Safety Management System. • Deliver bi‑weekly usage reports, electronic invoicing, and manage additional‑pay items (fuel, per‑diem, standby, etc.) throughout the ordering period.
