Acceptance of Hazardous Waste for Disposal

Dane County is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive hazardous‑waste services for its Clean Sweep Program. The contract will cover the collection, transportation, containerization, manifesting, and final disposal of a variety of hazardous materials (paints, solvents, pesticides, antifreeze, acids, bases, PCB‑containing equipment, etc.) generated by households and very small quantity generators. Services must be performed at the County’s Landfill No. 2 (Rodefeld) in Madison, WI, during standard operating hours, and must include all required permits, insurance, and compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. The solicitation is an open RFP with a submission deadline of 2 pm on December 2, 2026; questions are due by November 12, 2026. The contract is expected to run for up to five fiscal years (2027‑2031) with possible renewal options.
