Description
Lewis County Schools is seeking a qualified, licensed contractor to provide on‑call light‑to‑medium duty carpentry services for all district facilities. The work includes repair and maintenance of structural and cosmetic wood components, exterior stair and ramp construction, new construction of partitions and built‑in woodwork, full replacements of doors, hardware, trim, and related components, as well as routine facility upkeep. The contract starts on the bid deadline date and runs through June 30 2027, with two optional one‑year extensions if both parties agree in writing. Bidders must submit a sealed bid and include all mandatory documentation (WV contractor’s license, business registration, commercial general liability insurance, workers’ compensation proof, and a completed bid checklist). The contract is also “piggybackable,” allowing other West Virginia public school districts to adopt the same pricing and terms after a direct agreement with the contractor.
