Description
The U.S. Geological Survey’s EESC‑S.O. Conte Research Laboratory needs a qualified small‑business contractor to remove an existing walk‑in freezer/cooler, prepare the site, and install a new energy‑efficient walk‑in cooler and freezer unit at its Turner Falls, MA facility. The work includes demolition, disposal, equipment supply, mechanical and electrical installation, testing, commissioning, training, and documentation, all to be completed swiftly to protect sensitive research samples.
• Remove and dispose of existing walk‑in freezer/cooler per regulations.
• Provide and install a new walk‑in cooler and freezer (approx. 13 ft × 7 ft × 6 ft) including refrigeration system, insulated panels, doors, controls, and required electrical upgrades.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and on‑site staff training; deliver manuals, warranties, and as‑built documentation.
• Complete all work within 10 working days after award, with a one‑year workmanship warranty and manufacturer warranties.
• Small‑business set‑aside (HUBZone, SDVOSB, EDWOSB); mandatory SAM registration; submission via email to the CO.
